Advancing Jewish Education
Advancing education is more than just giving money to a school. The Kohelet Foundation has dedicated a tremendous amount of the resources it has to increase participation in Jewish education among Jewish families. A core belief of the Kohelet Foundation is that parents and families must be educated on the value and importance of Jewish education and why it is so important to the long term success of the individual child and the support of the Jewish community.
To that end, the Kohelet Foundation advances Jewish education through four main directives:
- Increase attendance at Jewish Day Schools by improving the affordability, efficiency and quality of these schools.
- Promote and encourage Jewish education (Torah, traditions, Jewish practice, etc.) for parents of day school students.
- Improve the governance and business models of Jewish Day Schools so that schools can become financially self-sufficient and independent of philanthropic efforts like Kohelet.
