Holly B. Cohen
Holly Cohen is the Director of the Kohelet Foundation. Holly is an attorney by training and, prior to her work at Kohelet, operated a solo law practice concentrated on family law for over 14 years.
A native of Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, Holly attended Solomon Schechter Hebrew Day School (now Perelman Jewish Day School), was graduated from Akiba Hebrew Academy (now Barrack Hebrew Academy) and attended and worked several summers at Camp Ramah in the Poconos. She graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Near Eastern Language and Literature and Comparative Religion and subsequently from the Temple University School of Law (now Beasely).
More recently, Holly has volunteered for numerous organizations in the Philadelphia Jewish community. Passionate about Jewish education and children, she served as a board member of OROT, The Friendship Circle and Torah Academy of Greater Philadelphia. At Torah Academy, she also served on the executive committee as the chairperson for both the recruitment and marketing committees. Holly has also provided legal counsel to these organizations.
Holly devotes the rest of her time to her family. She resides in Merion Station with her husband, Leib Meadvin and their five children Arielle, Leah, Emunah, Moshe and Daniel. The Meadvin children either do or have collectively attended Torah Academy, Politz Hebrew Academy, Torah Academy Girls High School, Politz Cherry Hill, Stern College, Neve Yerushalayim and Pnimiyut. The family are members of Chabad of the Main Line.
