Raymond and Ruth Perelman Jewish Day School (PJDS), a Solomon Schechter Affiliate school, educates students from Kindergarten through grade eight on three campuses in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. We provide a dual curriculum that integrates Jewish and General studies. Our goal is to instill in our students a pride in and commitment to both Jewish and American values. Our students achieve academic excellence in both English and Hebrew language arts, mathematics, social science, general science, and religious studies. Students also attend sessions in music, art, computer and science laboratories, physical education, and Israel Folk Dancing.
Beginning in September 2009, every child starting kindergarten will receive a $6000 tuition grant from the Kohelet Foundation, regardless of family income. This $6000 tuition grant will continue in each of 1st and 2nd grade. These students will receive $3000 toward tuition in each of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. This amounts to a total tuition grant of $27,0000 for each entering kindergarten student. Additionally, The Kohelet Foundation Saligman Middle School enrollment initiative will provide a $10,000 tuition reduction for every child, regardless of income level, entering 6th grade in September 2009. Each of these children will receive a $5,000 tuition reduction in 7th grade and a $3,000 tuition reduction in 8th grade.
